LITTLE CHICK transpired with my old fashioned love for the handmade, the imperfect, and the vintage appeal of yesteryears toys for my wee ones. With the joy of my firstborn, I started to hand-stitch companions to share her adventures with. Pixie is now a well worn, floppy friend, who comes out from time to time after countless years of exuberant toddler love. BUNNY LOVELY. A thick carpet of frost still dusts the lawn and my garden in a slumber, but I have the itch and yearning for Spring and all it's lovely offerings. In the hopes to squelch my winter doldrums, a special little hoppy friend was born. Please meet Bunny Lovely. She reminds me of my childhood, but I can't quite put my finger on exactly just why. She is soft and cuddly, and made for a little ones arms to steal away on springtime adventures. One-of-a kind, made from repurposed and new fabrics, approx. 17" tall and available for adoption...kinda. No really, it's just that I get so darned attached to these little beauties, they have become family. Here are some snaps of a few of my multiplying friends (it's true what they say about bunnies).

Now with an older sister who makes her mark on this household and our activities, he is just as easily wooed by a pixie doll or shabby chic bunny, but who can resist a charming relook at superheros with handmade retro appeal. One of a kind, unique interpretations of these benevolent fictional characters who companion our wee ones into otherworldly places of imagination. A world where they can champion their rival and discover their exceptional abilities.....haven't we always taught our children, you can be anything you put your heart and mind into, if you just believe.
